2009-2010 STRATEGIC PLANä

 

The proposed objectives under each goal and their status as primary or secondary read as follows:

 

1.   MEMBERSHIP Goal: The dental hygiene community will understand the value of ADHA/NCDHA membership and choose to belong.

 

Objectives:

·       Primary: Increase relevance to members, dental hygiene students and potential members

·       Secondary: Increase tangible member benefits

 

2.   BRANDING Goal: ADHA/NCDHA will be the recognized community and resource for dental hygiene.

 

Objectives:

·       Primary: Strengthen state and local understanding and utilization of the brand.

·       Secondary: Raise awareness of the dental hygiene profession and ADHA/NCDHA

 

3.   ADVOCACY Goal: The dental hygiene profession will advance through effective advocacy by ADHA/NCDHA.

 

Objectives:

  • Primary: Increase the autonomy of dental hygiene
  • Secondary: Increase the public’s direct access to dental hygiene

 

4.   PARTNERSHIP Goal: ADHA/NCDHA and its members will work in partnership with dentists and other stakeholders to advance oral health.

 

Objective:

  • Enhance collaboration with stakeholders within and outside of the dental community

 

5.   OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE Goal: ADHA/NCDHA will be a data driven, fiscally sound, effectively governed organization.

 

Objectives:

  • Primary: Increase the collection, utilization and dissemination of data
  • Secondary: Strengthen ADHA’s/NCDHA’s technological ability
