We are excited to announce that the Cape Fear Dental Hygiene Component is officially reactivated!!

CAPE FEAR COMPONENT
MISSION STATEMENT: To provide networking opportunities and up to date information about the world of dental hygiene for area hygienists through continuing education meetings while increasing community awareness of the world of dental hygiene and the importance of being a member of ADHA/NCDHA.

President: Jessica Kiser
Graduate of UNC-CH 2004 with a BSDH and 2006 with a Masters Degree in Dental Hygiene Education. She has been a full time dental hygiene instructor at Cape Fear Community College since 2006. After relocating to Wilmington, NC, her passion for dental hygiene, lead her to help reactivate the Cape Fear Dental Hygiene Component.

Trustee: Sommer Graham
Graduate of Cape Fear Community College 2010 with a AASDH. Also has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Appalachian State University. She currently serves on the Dental Hygiene Advisory Board for Cape Fear Community College. She works full time at Brunswick Family Dental in Supply, NC and is an active volunteer for her community.

Vice President: Mary Ellen Naylor
She received a Dental Assisting diploma 1993 with an AAS in Dental Hygiene from West Virginia Tech in 1995. She received her BSDH from UNC-CH in 1999 and a Master of Health Administration from UNC-Charlotte in 2002. She has been a full time instructor at Cape Fear Community College, Dental Hygiene Program since 2002 where she became Director of the Dental Hygiene Program in 2006. She is experienced in providing continuing education courses on Coronal Polishing for the Dental Assistant II program as well as Dental Office Emergencies. In addition to her full time position as the Director of the Dental Hygiene Program at Cape Fear Community College, she is a site visitor and curriculum consultant for the Commission on Dental Accreditation for Dental Hygiene Programs. She is also a past
president of the Cape Fear Comonent.
