Periodontitis has entered into a new frontier as not only a major chronic infection but moreover a disease of chronic inflammation. Recent studies demonstrate that the
incidence of periodontitis has been underestimated by 50%. General Dentists and their TEAMS have an opportunity to demonstrate success in patient care as well as mental/physical well-being, with positive financial growth. However, being effective in today’s environment can be a challenge and somewhat overwhelming.
