Course Description:
Dental hygienists play an important role in the identification and treatment of oral disease, including Endodontic disease! Unfortunately, the discipline of Endodontics may not always be covered sufficiently in dental hygiene education. The ability to identify whether Endodontic disease is present benefits patients, as well as dental practices. This presentation will serve as an introduction to the specialty of Endodontics and describe the role of the dental hygienist in recognizing signs and symptoms of Endodontic disease.

Brigette Easter, RDH, BSDH, began her dental career as a dental assistant in 1998 for a growing periodontal practice in Winston Salem, NC. She furthered her education by receiving her Associates of Science in Dental Hygiene from Guilford Technical Community College in Jamestown, NC in 2002 and her Bachelor’s of Science in Dental Hygiene from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2014. She currently works full time as a clinical hygienist for a private practice in Winston Salem, NC and is also an Adjunct Clinical Educator at Forsyth Technical Community College in Winston-Salem, NC.
