Barbara Kucera & ATKINS

Barbara is a 1986 graduate of The Ohio State University. As a clinical hygienist and a published author, she draws from her experience, passion and knowledge as she shares her mission to help every patient love coming to the dentist! Barbara and her husband of 33 years, Michael, live in Charlotte, NC, have 2 grown children and one precious grandson.

ATKINS is a 3 year old yellow Labrador Retriever that was raised and trained by the paws4people® Foundation, a non-profit organization based in Wilmington, N.C. ATKINS began her training when she was only a few weeks old. She knows over 100 commands and was specifically trained for her job working at the dentist. In May of 2018, she was assigned to Barbara and they completed 50 more hours of training together in order to be certified and work together full time.
