Crystal Adams is a dental hygiene educator at Catawba Valley Community College in Hickory.  Her career in dentistry began in 1997 upon graduating from the Dental Assisting Program at Wilkes Community College. After working as a Certified Dental Assisting for 4 years, she returned to Central Piedmont Community College to obtain her Associates of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene in 2001. While she worked full-time as a dental hygienist, she returned to college to complete her bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership and her master’s degree in Higher Education with a concentration in Community College and University Leadership. Crystal serves on the North Carolina Dental Society Prevention and Oral Health Committee and is Immediate Past-President of North Carolina Dental Hygienists’ Association. She has a passion for oral health and enjoys mentoring students and professionals as they excel in their dental hygiene careers.
