Happy National Children’s Dental Health Month! Many schools and dental offices will be participating in the National Give Kids A Smile program (GKAS), sponsored by the American Dental Association (ADA). GKAS is a program that offers FREE dental sealants and other oral health services to underserved children throughout North Carolina. Brigette Easter, RDH, BSDH, began her dental career as a dental assistant in 1998 for a growing periodontal practice in Winston Salem, NC. She furthered her education by receiving her Associates of Science in Dental Hygiene from Guilford Technical Community College in Jamestown, NC in 2002 and her Bachelor’s of Science in Dental Hygiene from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2014. She currently works full time as a clinical hygienist for a private practice in Winston Salem, NC and is also an Adjunct Clinical Educator at Forsyth Technical Community College in Winston-Salem, NC.
