The North Carolina Oral Health Collaborative is continuously working to improve access to oral health care and equity in oral health care for all North Carolinians. In an effort to ensure that all stakeholders have opportunities to help the NCOHC achieve their goals, the NCOHC recently released their first policy brief. Zachary Brian, DMD, MHA, Director of NCOHC says, “This brief is not intended to make the claim that the outlined opportunities are necessarily NCOHC priorities, but rather to offer a comprehensive list of proposals that could, and would, create a more accessible and equitable oral health environment.” READ MORE HERE

Brigette Easter, RDH, BSDH, began her dental career as a dental assistant in 1998 for a growing periodontal practice in Winston Salem, NC. She furthered her education by receiving her Associates of Science in Dental Hygiene from Guilford Technical Community College in Jamestown, NC in 2002 and her Bachelor’s of Science in Dental Hygiene from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2014. She currently works full time as a clinical hygienist for a private practice in Winston Salem, NC and is also an Adjunct Clinical Educator at Forsyth Technical Community College in Winston-Salem, NC.
