Leo currently serves as a clinician with East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine and as an SDA Trainer with EMS Dental, where she teaches Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) and supports clinicians in elevating their practice through innovation and evidence-based care. She is passionate about expanding access to care for underserved populations, inspiring and educating clinicians, and empowering the next generation of dental professionals.

Within the North Carolina Dental Hygienists’ Association (NCDHA), Leo serves as Component 5 Trustee, Co-Chair of the Outreach Committee, and supports the Legislative Committee, advocating for the advancement of dental hygienists and improved oral health outcomes across the state.

When she’s not working, traveling, or volunteering, Leo enjoys spending time with her family and pups, relaxing at the beach in her camper, and diving into creative hobbies… from crafting to learning new skills.
